Vanguard Ambassador Chris Nowell served in The King's Royal Hussars before he was wounded serving in Afghanistan in 2007. Evacuated back to the UK with severe head injuries, Chris recovered, but is now registered blind with severely restricted eyesight.
While recovering with the support of Blind Veterans UK, Chris picked up his first camera and set about learning the skills needed for landscape photography and has taken to photographing his beloved Peak District.
Chris has appeared in local media and in PhotoPlus magazine.
