Vanguard has been designing and manufacturing award winning support systems since 1986, and has used that experience to launch the Endeavor RL Series, a super stable gun rest with an intuitive and removable levelling system.
The base is a 3-section tripod with 30mm diameter legs that are designed to deliver a stable platform that is second to none, with a choice of rubber or spiked feet for use on any surface.
The twist leg locks are designed to be silent to operate and lock each joint tightly. They are also easy to clean, allowing you to maximise the life of your tripod with some simple maintenance, no matter where they are used.
With three easy set leg angles, the Endeavor L can be set up anywhere between 235mm and 1,625mm, making it ideal for even the tallest of shooters.
At the top of the tripod is a ½ bowl levelling platform that has been CNC machined from a aircraft grade aluminium to deliver maximum quality and the smoothest of movements. This ½ bowl levelling system allows you to adjust your aim up/down ±15° or pan 360° with ease, making it easy to get on target. When locked in place, it delivers a solid base with a maximum load capacity of up to 25kg.
Underneath the levelling platform is a handle with a textured rubber grip. This locks and unlocks the levelling system, and can be used to intuitively aim your rifle and adjust the tension while you're on target, while helping to maximise stability.
The levelling platform can also be easily removed so that the tripod can be used with other heads for other uses (photography, observation, video, etc.) by attaching a separate levelling platform or a lightweight flat platform. Simply loosen the “Platform Tension Lock” and then loosen the “Platform Safety Lock” and lift out.
Fixed to the top of the ½ bowl levelling system is a choice of a universal gun mount (AGM/CGM models) or a combined Picatinny rail and Arca compatible plate clamp (APR/CPR models).
The aluminium Endeavor RL 303AGM G2 and the carbon fibre Endeavor RL 303CGM G2 both include the Endeavor GM-70 which is a Universal Gun Mount that can fit any rifle or air rifle with a forestock between 30mm and 70mm wide.
The clamp is loosened and tightened using t textured and oversized locking wheel that is easy to grip in the toughest weather conditions, with or without gloves. To maximise the grip on your rifle and prevent damage, the inner clamps have textured rubber linings.
The Endeavor GM-70 is attached to a 3/8” thread and secured with screws that go up through the base of the levelling system so it can’t come loose in use. This allows it to be removed to allow you to fit an alternative head for photography or a spotting scope if you choose, maximising the versatility of this gun rest system.
In place of a removable head the Dual Action Clamp Models incorporate a fixed dual action clamp. The lower clamp is designed to fit an Endeavor Picatinny Rail, while the upper clamp is designed to fit an Arca compatible QS-75P quick release plate. Both of these are included in the pack.
Simply attach the Endeavor Picatinny Rail to the sling stud on your rifle and you have a quick release system that allows you to fit your rifle securely to the gun rest in seconds using the adjustable lever lock.
When you’re not shooting, you can use the upper Arca compatible clamp to attach your spotting scope (or camera) to maximise the use you’ll get out of the tripod. The lever lock is adjustable maximising the range of quick release plates and spotting scope feet that will fit.
The Endeavor RL Series is designed for stability and precision, but when you need to carry it there is a removable shoulder strap that can be fitted, allowing you to carry the gun rest in comfort. This incorporates a leg strap that holds the three tripod legs together, and the leg strap can be used separately to the shoulder strap.
So if you’re looking for the most stable and precise gun rest on the market, that offers versatility with the removable central column, the check out the Endeavor RL Series.
Alternatively, if you don’t need the removable level, check out the Endeavor L Series.
