Following a long market research project covering twelve countries across eight continents, we established that 87% of the world's population who live in houses used tables, and 74% used lighting. It's also clear that there is a growing trend for unique solutions that stand out from the crowd. Based on this, we are launching into a new market - Vanguard Home Living.

To stand out, Vanguard Home Living sets out to deliver solutions that deliver the functionality that's needed, but in a quirky, Vanguard style, under the leadership of industry veteran Ruprecht von Clapsaddle.

Our research showed that many of our optics products were perfect to deliver lighting solutions around the house.

The Vanguard OpuLamp is our first lighting solution to hit the market, though solutions based on our monoculars and binoculars will soon follow.

It takes the body of our carbon composite VEO Spotting Scopes, with a premium extra-low dispersion (ED) glass objective lens to create a lightweight directional table lamp that diffuses light to reduce glare and shadows. 

It also cleverly uses to zoom dial to allow you to widen, or narrow the beam of light, giving you maximum control to light your surroundings. At it's widest setting, the light can cover a 1.5m diameter from 60cm high, while at it's narrowest setting, it can act as a spotlight down to just 4cm.

With a range of tripods that can hold significant weights, the research highlighted the opportunity to develop innovative desk solutions as working from home becomes more important. From this, the TriDesk was born. 

It consists of a simple, yet stylish beech table top on four new VEO 3 tripods (launching soon), and each tripod can hold up to 100kg with the central column down, giving you the confidence to put whatever you need to onto the desk. 

Our research also showed that those working from home wanted to be able to use the desk at different heights for use when sitting or standing, and the TriDesk can be adjusted from 60cm to 180cm, with four built in spirit levels at each corner to ensure the table top is set up perfectly flat, whatever surface it's placed on.

Moving is simple.  On the base of the table are four Arca compatible quick release plates that you simply attach each tripod, so you can move each section individually. The additional advantage is that the owner has access to four great tripods, and in the event of a problem, the tripod can be replaced with any Arca compatible tripod, maximising the longevity of your desk.

Our research clearly showed that no home living solution is complete without the small furnishings that add the finishing touches and personality to a home or an office.

For example, the research showed 63% had plants in the home, and so the design team looked at how we could create unique solutions that could link to the owner's pastimes.  The new MonoVase is a great example using the body of the VEO HD2 monocular as plant pot for smaller plants, either on it's own, or mixed with other MonoVases to create an oasis of greenery.  A perfect gift for the birdwatcher in your life.

The first wave of new furniture and home products will be available online only on April 1^st 2022, and items are expected to sell quickly based on results from several focus groups.
