The VEO 5X 235ALB 45S is a CNC machined aluminium travel tripod without a central column that delivers an optimal balance between portability and stability, fitted with a lightweight and low profile LB-45S ball head.

The VEO 5XT 235ALB 45S is a CNC machined aluminium travel tripod with a low profile Arca compatible dual axis ball head.
This VEO 5X travel tripod is designed to be extra portable with a simple flat tripod base for maximum stability, and a separate central column for those moments when extra height is needed.
On top is a lightweight, low profile Arca compatible LB-45S ball head that has the traditional pan axis on the base, and introduces a second pan axis under the quick release plate mount to allow you to level your tripod in seconds and deliver maximum control in framing your perfect shot.
The 5-section, 23mm diameter legs are designed to deliver an optimum combination of stability and portability, reaching up to 134cm without the central column, and extends to 166cm if you attach the central column.
Without the centre column attached the tripod folds to 50.5cm with a slim 7.5cm diameter that makes it easy to carry in one hand or pack away, and weighs just 1415g. Despite this portability, it can hold up to 15kg ensuring it can cope with even the heaviest kit.
The solid legs also incorporate silent twist leg locks with Vanguard's technical design that is designed to be quick to set up/pack away and be easy to clean, allowing you to maximise the life of your tripod. For full cleaning instructions, view our blog.
For low angle or macro shots the tripod is equipped with three easy-set leg angles, (23°, 50° and 85°), allowing the tripod to go down to just 15.5cm.
On the side of the tripod canopy is a a 3/8" thread hole with a 1/4" adaptor that is designed to fit any magic arm, allowing you to attach accessories to maximise your shoot. This also includes Vanguard's non-slip bayonet slot fittings, so it guarantees that when used with a VEO TSA DLX your magic arm won't come lose in the middle of your shot.
At the base, there are retractable rubber feet that can be set as either rubber or stainless steel spiked feet in seconds.
This tripod is manufactured with Vanguard's CNC technology, using aircraft grade aluminium for load bearing parts, alongside Vanguard's anodising process to ensure outstanding quality that is backed by a standard 2 year warranty, but this can be extended to a 10 year extended manufacturer's warranty.
The tripod also comes with a luxury padded shoulder bag to keep it safe at home or on the go and make it easy to carry, with quick top access or full length access.
