The VEO 5X 304CT is a CNC machined full sized carbon fibre tripod without a central column, that delivers an optimal balance between portability and stability.
- Tripod only with a reversible 3/8" to 1/4" thread to fit any tripod head

The VEO 5X 304CT is a CNC machined carbon fibre tripod that is designed to be extra portable with a simple flat tripod base for maximum stability, and a separate central column for those moments when extra height is needed.
The 4-section, 30mm diameter legs are designed to deliver an optimum combination of stability and portability, reaching up to 135cm without a central column or a tripod head, and extends to 167cm if you attach the central column.
Without the centre column attached the tripod folds to 49.5cm with a slim 8.5cm diameter that makes it easy to carry in one hand or pack away, and weighs just 1235g. Despite this portability, it can hold up to 20kg ensuring it can cope with even the heaviest kit.
The solid legs also incorporate silent twist leg locks with Vanguard's technical design that is designed to be quick to set up/pack away and be easy to clean, allowing you to maximise the life of your tripod. For full cleaning instructions, view our blog.
The base includes a 3/8" and 1/4" thread that will allow you to fit any tripod head, and there are models that come as a kit with Vanguard's low profile dual axis ball heads.
To attach your chosen head, simply screw the head onto the 1/4" or 3/8" thread until it is hand tight. Then use the appropriate hex key provided to tighten the three screws in the tripod base (no need to over tighten as this can damage the threads). This will then put upward pressure on the head and ensure a solid fit, ensuring that the head does not unscrew when you think you are panning.
For low angle or macro shots the tripod is equipped with three easy-set leg angles, (23°, 50° and 85°), allowing the tripod to go down to just 7.5cm (without a head).
On the side of the tripod canopy is a a 3/8" thread hole with a 1/4" adaptor that is designed to fit any magic arm, allowing you to attach accessories to maximise your shoot. This also includes Vanguard's non-slip bayonet slot fittings, so it guarantees that when used with a VEO TSA DLX your magic arm won't come lose in the middle of your shot.
At the base, there are retractable rubber feet that can be set as either rubber or stainless steel spiked feet in seconds.
This tripod is manufactured with Vanguard's CNC technology, using aircraft grade aluminium for load bearing parts, alongside Vanguard's anodising process to ensure outstanding quality that is backed by a standard 2 year warranty, but this can be extended to a 10 year extended manufacturer's warranty.
The tripod also comes with a luxury padded shoulder bag to keep it safe at home or on the go and make it easy to carry, with quick top access or full length access.
