Overview
The Vanguard QS-55P Quick Shoe is an ultra-compact Arca compatible quick release plate with a 1/4" camera screw and anti-slip rubber pads to provide a solid and steady link to your chosen spotting scope, long lens or camera in just seconds, with no non-slip pins on the base.
The quick shoe can be attached to the base of the camera:
- By hand using the D-ring
- Using an Allen key
- Using a coin
- Using a screwdriver

The Vanguard QS-55P Quick Shoe is an ultra-compact Arca compatible quick release plate with a 1/4" camera screw and anti-slip rubber pads to provide a solid link to your chosen spotting scope, video camera or long lens in just seconds.
This lightweight and compact quick release plate is perfect for longer lenses and spotting scopes where portability is key. Despite being lightweight, it features an adjustable 1/4" thread that can be moved forwards/back for the best balance, and a non-twist spring pin to make sure your kit is always pointing in the direction you want. If you want a longer base for a better fit, you can choose the QS-71P.
Please note that this quick release plate does not include the removable non-slip pins in the base. If these are needed, please select the QS-56P.
While this quick release plate can be used with your camera, it may not be the optimal choice and we would recommend you have a separate quick release plate for your camera. For a DSLR the QS-74 may be more suitable, or for a smaller mirrorless camera the QS-65 may be more suitable.
The quick shoe can be attached to the base of the spotting scope or long lens:
