The LB-50S is a lightweight, low profile Arca compatible ball head that has the traditional pan axis on the base, and introduces a second pan axis under the quick release plate mount to deliver maximum control in framing your perfect shot.
One of the key benefits of the dual axis is that it allows you to level your tripod in seconds on any terrain for perfect panoramas, without needing to fuss around with the legs. Simply make sure your tripod is steady and level the head and you're ready to go, using the top axis to frame or pan your photo.
Alternatively, the dual axis ball head allows you make micro adjustments using the most appropriate axis, without needing to loosen the main ball joint and risk losing the overall setup.
Despite weighing in at just 375g, this head has a large 35mm diameter ball which deliver maximum grip for it's size and helps deliver a maximum load capacity of 20kg/44lbs. It is also machined from aircraft grade aluminium using the latest CNC technology which means that the quality is second to none, and the movement is incredibly fluid due to the mirror smooth finish that CNC production delivers.
The head itself is just 95mm tall, making it easy to pack away when you need to move between locations, or keep it safely in your tripod bag between shoots.
The head also includes a friction control that allows more precise control when using a long lens at higher magnification.
With a 50mm diameter base, this head is ideal for larger travel tripods and a wide range of mid-sized tripods, and it can fit any tripod with a 3/8" thread, or any tripod with a 1/4" thread using the adaptor provided, making it perfect for a wide tripods from any brand.
The four sided Arca compatible QS-58 quick release plate is also designed with slots in all four sides that allows you to attach a strap (such as a VEO Optic Guard wrist strap) while being attached to the tripod.
