VEO 5 304CT - Traditional Full Sized Carbon Tripod - 20kg load capacity

The VEO 5 Series uses CNC technology and a new central column design to usher in a new generation of traditional tripods that are lighter and more portable, without compromising on features or performance.

The VEO 5 304CT is a carbon fibre tripod that combines carbon legs with high quality aluminium for key load bearing components and CNC technology, which has allowed the design team to shave off weight, for example with a with a slimmer tripod canopy. The combined  weight savings allow this aluminium tripod with 4-sections and 30mm legs to weigh in at just 1.5kg.

The central column has been designed in an innovative hexagonal shape that allows the locking mechanism on the tripod canopy to lock more tightly for maximum stability, as demonstrated by the 20kg load capacity. 

This hexagonal central column also allows the legs to fold in tighter which reduces the diameter of the legs when folded, making it easy to carry in one hand, or pack for a trip. Combined with the 4-sections, this allows the tripod to fold to 520mm while still extending to a stable 1665mm (or 1405mm with the central column down).

The hexagonal central column also incorporates a built in low angle adaptor, saving the need to carry a separate low angle adaptor, or to remove and reattach the head.  Simply remove the central column, loosen the locking screw with the hex key provided and split the central column and you're good to go. 

On top of the hexagonal central column is a 58mm plate with a reversible 1/4" to 3/8" thread to attach the most suitable head for your style, from any brand. Once attached, simply tighten the screws below the top plate to guarantee a tight fit of the tripod to your chosen head.

For added stability in the field, there is a retractable hook to attach additional weight, and the legs have retractable rubber/spiked to match the terrain.

The legs have a silent push button release that allows you to deploy three easy-set leg angles (23º, 50º and 80º) to maximise stability on uneven terrain, or to get down low. 

The legs also incorporate silent, quick set twist locks that are designed to be easy clean so you can maximise the life of your tripod, whatever conditions you work in. For full cleaning instructions, view our blog.

On the side of the central canopy are 3/8" threads for tripod support arms, allowing you to attach the accessories of your choice.  These threads include bayonet slots on either side that ensure maximum stability on tripod support arms with that feature, such as the VEO TSA DLX which has a reversible plate for bayonet/non-bayonet fittings.

It also comes with a luxury padded shoulder bag to keep it safe at home or on the go and make it easy to carry, with quick top access or full length easy access.
