I first got into Wildlife Photography in 2005 after witnessing a Sparrowhawk take down a pigeon while out on a walk. I just had to go back with my first digital camera and try to get some images. From there I was hooked!
I love travelling all over the UK in pursuit of wildlife and interesting landscape images. I am especially always drawn back to Scotland and the Western Isles. I also love to photograph wildlife in my local area, after all this makes me the local expert.
I have placed highly over the years in the following competitions.
- International Garden Photographer of the Year (Highly Commended)
- Eden Channel |Wildlife Competition (Finalist)
- Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust Wildlife Photography competition (winner)
- Landscape Photographer of the Year (Shortlisted x2)
I am also a qualified member of the Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers.
I now seek to pass on my wildlife photography through social media outlets particularly my YouTube Channel with over 2,000 subscribers.
