We first met Gordon at the Photography Awards 2020 where we shared a table and he shortlisted in the Event category, with his image from Up Helly Aa Fire Festival and it transpired he was a user of Vanguard kit. A few glasses of wine later and Gordon took home the People’s Choice Award and a role as a Vanguard Ambassador.

Gordon is a landscape photographer from the Shetland Islands. Being immersed socially in island life, he has captured sporting images and traditional festivals, at the same time capturing the land and rugged coastline he loves and has explored growing up on an island so richly steeped in culture and history.
Gordon’s photography has been acknowledged with many award-winning images and he hopes his knowledge of the Shetland landscape now shows in his work, and that the influences of remote Island life along with Scottish and Norse heritage resonate in his striking images.
