Endeavor L Levelling Gun Rests

Endeavor L Levelling Gun Rests

June 18, 2024 , Vanguard World

Vanguard has been designing and manufacturing award winning support systems since 1986, and has used that experience to launch our most stable and precise gun rest ever in the Endeavor L Series.

These come is a choice of 26mm or 30mm legs and a choice of aluminium or carbon fibre, and are designed to deliver a stable platform that is second to none.

The twist leg locks are designed to be silent to operate and lock each joint tightly. They are also easy to clean, allowing you to maximise the life of your tripod with some simple maintenance, no matter where they are used.

With three easy set leg angles, the Endeavor L Series  can be set up easily on any terrain and can rise up to 1730mm on the 30mm leg options. While this is too high for the tallest of shooters, it allows to set up a stable base when shooting downhill.

At the top of the tripod is a 1/2 bowl levelling system that has been CNC machined from a solid block of aluminium to deliver maximum quality and the smoothest of movements. This 1/2 bowl levelling system allows you to adjust your aim up/down ±15° or pan 360° with ease, making it easy to get on target.

When locked in place, it delivers a solid base with a maximum load capacity of up to 15kg.  Alternatively the lock can be partially tightened to allow some movement, but holding your rifle still if you need to release it, for example to use your optics to scan the landscape around you.

The Endeavor L Series comes with a choice of two styles of head - a universal removable Endeavor GM-70 Gun Mount or a super light permanently attached Dual Action Clamp.

The models with the Endeavor GM-70 (RRP £99.99) are:

The Endeavor GM-70 is fixed to the top of the 1/2 bowl levelling system with a 3/8” thread and the clamp can fit any rifle between 30mm and 70mm.  Simply loosen or tighten the clamp using the textured and oversized locking wheel that is easy to grip in the toughest weather conditions, with or without gloves.

The inner clamps have textured rubber linings that maximise the grip on your rifle, and prevent damage to the forestock.

The Endeavor GM-70 can be removed to allow you to fit an alternative head for photography or a spotting scope, maximising the versatility of this gun rest system.  It could also fit directly onto any standard tripod (smaller 1/4” threads will need to use an adaptor).

The models with the Dual Action Clamp are:

In place of a removable head, these models incorporate a fixed dual action clamp.  The lower clamp is designed to fit an Endeavor Picatinny Rail, while the upper clamp is designed to fit an Arca compatible QS-75P quick release plate.  Both of these are included in the pack.

Simply attach the Endeavor Picatinny Rail to your sling stud and you have a quick release system that allows you to fit your rifle securely to the gun rest in seconds using the adjustable lever lock.

When you’re not on a shoot, you can use the upper Arca compatible clamp to attach your spotting scope (or camera) to maximise the use you’ll get out of the tripod. The lever lock is adjustable maximising the range of quick release plates and spotting scope feet that will fit.

The other advantage is weight. As the dual action clamp is built into the levelling system you can save over 30% of the weight of the models with the Endeavor GM-70, or over 1kg when comparing the Endeavor L 303AGM to the Endeavor L 263APR!

So if you’re looking for the most stable and precise gun rest on the market, check out the Endeavor L Series.

Alternatively, if you fancy the idea of a more versatile tripod that does everything that the Endeavor L Series does, but has a handle to control the levelling system, and a levelling system that can be removed to allow you to fit alterative heads, then why not check out the Endeavor RL Series?
