‘All creatures great and small’ Wildlife Photo Competition

Vanguard is thrilled to be hosting a joint wildlife photography competition in collaboration with Vanguard Professional Jason Wharam, an African Wildlife Photographer and registered Safari Guide.

ALL CREATURES GREAT AND SMALL

Prizes worth over £800 up for grabs!

We are looking for photographs that depict wild animals in their natural habitat, fitting into either of these competition categories below.

 

  1. UK Wildlife Category

We want to celebrate the beauty and diversity of British wildlife. All photographs must be taken in the UK.

 

  1. World Wildlife Category

Any animal, anywhere, in fact the wilder the better! We’re looking for action photographs that display the magnificence of the natural world.

  • Overall winner will receive a VEO 2 235AB Blue travel tripod & VEO Discover 38 bag with internal tripod carrying compartment. Prize worth RRP £210
  • 1st Runner Up will win VEO TRAVEL 28 worth RRP £35, choice of Black or Blue
  • 2nd Runner Up will win a VEO DISCOVER 15Z worth £30 RRP.

 

  1. The Wharam Winner

Jason will select his personal favourite entry to win our Top Prize, a full size (180x90cm) print of Jason’s magnificent ‘Nyamandlouvu Pan Sunset’

How to enter:

Email your wildlife photo(s) with a short description of what the photo is showing and anything special about the experience to marketing@vanguardworld.co.uk.

The competition runs from 1st February 2018 until 30th April 2018.

We look forward to seeing your entry. We will try to share as many of the entries as possible on both our social media.

Terms & Conditions:

  1. Maximum of 5 photos per entrant, entrant must own the rights to the image.
  2. Each photo/description must be sent as an attachment, one attachment per email, sent to marketing@vanguardworld.co.uk. Please include your contact details on every email entry.
  3. Images must not contain any frames or watermarks
  4. Photos must be hi-res jpeg files (minimum 300 dpi). The maximum file size for this competition is 3MB and we recommend that digital images are no wider than 1400 pixels and no taller than 1050 pixels.
  5. By entering this competition, entrants are agreeing to opt into the Vanguard email database – please note entrants have the option to unsubscribe at any time and that by entering they are giving Vanguard permission to use their images on social media.
  6. Entries must be received by midnight on the 30th April 2018.
  7. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  8. The winner will be announced on Vanguard UK social media and website by 31st May 2018 and contacted directly.
  9. Prizes: ‘UK Wildlife Category’ overall winner will receive an ALTA PRO 2+ 263AB 100 and an ALTA Sky 45D. 1st Runner Up will win VEO TRAVEL 28, choice of Black or Blue and 2nd Runner Up will win a VEO DISCOVER 15Z. ‘World Wildlife Category’ overall winner will receive a VEO 2 235AB Blue and VEO Discover 38. 1st Runner Up will win VEO TRAVEL 28 and 2nd Runner Up will win a VEO DISCOVER 15Z. Every effort will be made to fulfil these prizes, however, Vanguard reserves the right to supply alternative prizes as required.
  10. No cash alternative to prizes will be offered under any circumstances.
  11. Jason Wharam will select his personal favourite entry to win a full size (180x90cm) canvas print of his photography ‘Nyamandlouvu Pan Sunset’. All rights to this image are owned by Jason Wharam Photography.
  12. Entrant must own the rights to the photo and give permission for Vanguard UK to use in marketing the competition and in future marketing, attributed to entrant wherever possible.
  13. Entrant can be from anywhere in the world but must have an address in UK/Ireland to send the prize to.
